The Tashiba series was the last generation of double enders built by the Ta Shing yard in Taiwan. The 31 and 36 were new hull designs, that were considerably different from the Baba 30 and 35 that came before them. The hull for the 40 carried over from the Baba and Panda versions, although deck designs differ with the later boats having wider house tops. Pilot house versions were available for all three, but they are rare. The evolution from Baba to Tashiba is described in detail in Yacht Design According to Perry.
